What moral foundations do you most connect with? Research has shown that liberals and conservatives tend to view morality through different lenses. While liberals tend to place more emphasis on "harm vs. care" and "fairness vs. cheating", conservatives are more likely to base morality on a combination of all five foundations.
These different foundations can help explain why we might view the other side as immoral, unempathetic, or just plain wrong. By recognizing these differences, we can better understand where people are coming from, and open a door between liberals and conservatives when talking about moral issues.
